The Mystery Blue Experience
The Mystery Blue color was carefully selected to pay tribute to Sweden’s longest coast, stretching towards the Baltic Sea—an area where the Viggen aircraft operated during its service years. The color had to be dark, reminiscent of the deep waters on a stormy day beneath crashing waves. Rich and captivating, we went through many samples before choosing the tone you’ll see on the stunning sunray dial. At night, it appears almost black, but in the daylight, it reveals its true blue hue.
Designer’s Word
The Celegin Viggen concept is close to my heart. I fell in love with our Celegin Viggen Cockpit GMT in pitch black with orange seconds and GMT hands back in 2022 when we received the first prototype. The evolution to a three-hander with an inverted dial, the Celegin Viggen “Akka” was a natural one: with its silver plated matte white dial that sparkles gently in sunlight.
The Celegin Viggen Blue has been part of my dream for years. It took time to refine the design, but we finally landed on this stunning piece. What makes it even more special is that it will be our first watch assembled in Sweden, a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. I’m also deeply grateful to our small but dedicated team for their efforts in bringing this dream to life.
I’m also very grateful for the effort that our small team has put in to realize this wonderful piece.

Made for Experiences
With the sunray dial, we set out to create a classic watch that brings the essence of a pilot watch into a refined, versatile timepiece. Polished hands and indexes, combined with polished case edges and bevels, make the Celegin Viggen Blue the perfect accessory for both formal wear and casual afternoons.
The polished hour and minute hands feature a tapered geometry, catching the light in a completely new way. While the Celegin Viggen Blue exudes elegance, it’s still a tool watch at heart. A screw-down crown and case back ensure 10 ATM water resistance, making this a truly dressy yet durable tool watch.
Details in Focus
In contrast to the Viggen Cockpit GMT prototype and the Viggen “Akka”, the Viggen Blue brings even more depth with applied hour indexes and numerals. The perfectly polished edges add a touch of life to the watch as it moves.
Is it a bug or a feature? Our signature print “Sverige” (Sweden in Swedish) once again appears between 6 and 7 o’clock. Fans are divided on this detail—some love it (much like the distinctive ignition key placement in old SAAB automobiles), while others note the asymmetry with mixed feelings.
Glowing in the Dark
The applied indexes and numerals are filled with Swiss SuperLuminova BGW9, which glows a soft turquoise-blue in the dark, providing clear legibility when the lights go out.
Tool Watch Performance
Inside the Celegin Viggen Blue, the reliable Swiss SW220-1 movement ensures accurate timekeeping day after day. With a 38-hour power reserve, it will keep ticking through long flights or a good night’s sleep without missing a beat.
Despite its dressy looks, the Celegin Viggen Blue is tough enough to handle any adventure. The tough sapphire crystal features five layers of anti-reflective coating on the inside, ensuring clarity in any light. Whether you’re going for a swim or a dive, the Celegin Viggen Blue can handle up to 10 ATM (100m) of water pressure—probably more.
